Blizzcon 2011: What we expect
Oct 21,2011 01:10 by Sara Lau0
The Blizzcon 2011 will open its door in a few hours, and more than 30,000 Blizzard fans are expecting to visit Anaheim Convention Center and check what’s surprising there.
There are a lot of rumors about Blizzard and it plans. World of Warcraft, for example, will continue to be patched and expanded with a “Mists of Pandaria expansion“. Does Blizzard disclose more information in this year’s Blizzcon?
Many Blizzcon visitors are looking forward to seeing a PC version of “Diablo 3” with a controller. We believe the developers will clarify if the game will be equipped with a controller, and answer questions about real money auction house.
Since Diablo 3 beta is due out there quite some time and we already know a lot about Diablo 3. Our focus is more on StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm, the sequel to Wings of Liberty. Since it’s officially unveiled in late May 2011 and they should reveal more and convince us. We are confident that, the Heart of the Swarm will be playable in the multiplayer mode.
Will the developers implement some methods to balance the units between construct Terran, Zerg and Protoss? Which units from StarCraft: Brood War are returning and what’s new to come? Will Blizzard provide two or three new units and buildings for each faction? Maybe a new game mode – in addition to the classic Deathmatch or a special co-op.
I have no doubt about what Blizzard is capable of, but it has been a long time we have not seen new Starcraft 2 mods and maps. Blizzard apparently did not convince critics. Of, if Blizzard could bring more mods and maps there, either free or pay to play, that would help Blizzard turn the tide. More importantly, Blizzard should beat its real competitors such as Dota 2, League of Legends and Heroes of Newerth.
What is really interesting would be whether Blizzard will officially unveil the Titan project, which is supposed to be the next big MMO game. But we are not looking forward to a direct sequel of World of Warcraft because it has been developed several years. For me, I do not expect Blizzard disclose more about TITAN because it would distract the attention of the press and fans of the current projects.
