CoasterVille enables players to manage a theme park of their own, add various attractions and businesses, receive more and more customers and build the best theme park ever.
That would be the general goals. To be specific, you will construct the carousel, Tilt-A-Wheel, Wizard’s Tower, Ferris Wheel, Cheese cottage, Hot Dog cart, Central Kitchen, Costume Tailor and all the necessary structures in your park. It is not only necessary to spend a few energy points to complete a structure, players also have to collect required components or ingredients to craft tools, toys, clothes and other stuff. That requires players to seek help from friends or just build concerned structures to produce all the things by themselves.
One would always have things to do in CoasterVille. All the businesses offer revenue now and then, and you can collect the money so as to purchase more attractions and buildings from the store. But the game doesn’t just keep players constructing and collecting, it also allows players to craft, produce, cook and search for special stuff that will be helpful in future experience.
And as the name itself suggests, coasters play an important role in the game. Different kinds of rides are available in the game. However, the so-called free customization of coasters only allows players to choose among a few options when it comes to expanding the coasters and adding segments. Anyway, you might not enjoy the free design experience as much as you would have expected.
Although the efforts to make it stand out are obvious, CoasterVille in fact is just a new ChefVille in the disguise of a theme park. Players will always build new structures so as to produce the things they need, ask their friends for the rare items or those they can’t produce for the time being, and more often than not, wait for the energy refill.
Several resources are crucial in CoasterVille: energy, goods, coins, and thrill points. Players will constantly run short of one or several of them. Most of the time, the collecting, building, boosting and all the other actions one can take in the game consume energy. Accordingly, you may often find yourself in short of energy and can do whatever you want only in the few seconds right after you level up.
But you won’t have structures half done or run out of energy to claim all the collectible coins, as long as you are willing to pay. Nonetheless, the endless expansion, attraction addition, and item collection in CoasterVille fail to offer anything that is truly unique or immersive and it seems more likely the new title will just be overshadowed by its predecessor.
