Find hidden treasures in a post-apocalyptic world; Help restore the environment to its natural splendor; Craft and build structures, tools, machines, and more.
Deepworld is a steam punk-themed 2D sandbox mobile MMO game developed by Bytebin. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where highly advanced automatic machines were invented and posed a threat on human survival.
Now it is your mission to explore the world, construct houses and other buildings, create devices and plants, exploit rare resources, craft various items, and even improve the environment. Remember, steam is the main source of energy. It can be transferred into pipes that power machines and can be discovered when you dig mines.
It makes sense that Deepworld is dubbed as 2D Minecraft as the game itself is a response to the disappointment as well as excitement experienced when the three developers played Minecraft. Lots of improvements were made to enhance the gaming experience. For example, players will not have to search the Internet for tips every time they gain something and instead they will be able to see directly what they can craft using all the present materials and skills.
The Mac version of this game will be released in April, followed by the iOS version later this year. Although the developers say that the single-player mode is planned, we can only expect multiplayer mode in the near future.
