GameForge to publish F2P Aion In Europe
Dec 16,2011 01:12 by Sara Lau0
With increasingly popular free to play MMOs in the world, NCsoft has revealed the ultimate free version of Aion for european gamers.
Among traditional hardcore MMO gamers — those who were playing fantasy MMOs like Runes of Magic, Lineage, WOW, and RIFT may be apparently aware of the difference between Pay to play and Free to play – there are less and less quality subscription MMOs as we grew up.
According to the press release, the paid online role-playing game Aion will be going free to play in February 2012 and also Gameforge will take the responsibility of hosting the European servers. The reason for the change of operator and the switch to F2P, is that the number of players has declined sharply in recent months.
Players will be able to digitally download the full version of Aion for free.
“By implementing the free-to-play model, we hope more European gamers will be able to experience the epic story of Aion for free and NCsoft welcomes the partnership with Gameforge with its long MMO experience in the free-to-play sector and its excellent knowledge of the European market.” Songyee Yoon, Chief Strategic Officer from NCsoft said.
“By acquiring the distribution rights of Aion in Europe, we could perfectly leverage our resources and project authority in the gaming industry.” Alexander Roesner, The CEO of Gameforge said.
The website is online now, and you can directly head to the official website and learn more about EU F2P Aion.
