Jungle Heat is an RTS from my.com that offers its users a lot of fun. Much like the infamous Clash of Clans, this RTS relies on collecting resources, raising armies, building your village, and pillaging enemy villages. You will take on the role of commander and start battling against the infamous General Blood.
If you like Clash of Clans, then you will surely like Jungle Heat. Users will embark on a difficult campaign, but first they must establish a strong base and army to defend against enemy attacks. If, and only if, you establish your base, then you will be ready to engage the enemy efficiently.
You begin the game by training troops, out of the barracks, and taking them into the battle field. This is where you will find the importance of upgrades and army count against enemy defenses. The first couple of battles will be easy enough, but as soon as you finish the tutorial you are on your own. If you do not choose wisely the game will be more difficult, but there is a lot of freedom to choose what and where you want to build.
Like Clash of Clans and Apoc Wars, Jungle Heat allows you to engage the enemy defenses instead of the enemy’s troops. Once you break through the enemy’s defenses you will reap the spoils of war, which are gold and oil. These two resources are necessary for both building units and upgrading buildings. The Diamonds are the most useful tool to building an army, unfortunately you can only get more by purchasing them with U.S Dollars. Even if you don’t want to pay for the different upgrades, the game is definitely worth a shot.
Each village you pillage is uniquely designed, and more difficult to penetrate than the last. This difficulty is what keeps the game interesting. You will need to understand the balance between your melee and ranged units. Melee units have a much higher defense than the ranged units, but they have a higher damage per second.
In the beginning, you are only able to build one kind of unit out of the barracks. With various upgrades you will be able to build much stronger units. It is necessary for you to create a diverse unit composition in order to start pillaging the more difficult villages. Also, you have to keep in mind where you are placing your units on the map. You cannot choose what your units attack; they will choose what is closest to them. Keep in mind that your melee units have to tank the damage in order to reap the benefits of the high DPS and low defense of your ranged units.
In Jungle Heat you are a mercenary trying to free the jungle from the grips of the evil General Blood. While freeing the jungle you must make sure that your own base is defended correctly. If you use all your resources on offense you will be vulnerable to attack, and if your town gets destroyed you will have to start over with your upgrades.
Jungle Heat is a great game. I found myself opening this app whenever I had extra time. The real-time upgrades and unit training keeps you coming multiple times throughout the day. Jungle Heat is not for those phone gamers that want to play for hours at a time. The upgrades are done in real-time but, conveniently, the game gives you notifications when they are done. This is an awesome feature that will come in handy.
It is hard for me to criticize this game. My.com does a lot right. The only thing that I would change would be the upgrade timing. This is because I like to play this game so much that when I have to stop and wait for unit compositions to build, I get irritated. Jungle Heat does a good job at pulling users into the gameplay and keeping them interested in what’s next.
Overall, Jungle Heat is an awesome game. It is one of the best android games I have played thus far. Though it is almost a carbon copy of Clash of Clans, it separates itself where it needs to. I wish that the creators would just charge you $1.00 for the game and give you faster upgrades than making you pay for more Diamonds. So, if you like Clash of Clans, or RTS phone games in general, then Jungle Heat is a great game for you. I had a lot of playing this game, and I know you will too!
