Kabam, known for publishing social game Dragons Atlantis and Kingdom Camelot, has announced recently that they will be discontinuing services for the support of Trojan War and shutting down all servers by the end of November 19, 2012, leaving thousands of player’s data and cities to be wiped out.

In a statement posted in the Kabam’s support forum, the Kabam’s official said: “although players had a lot of fun, Trojan War just wasn’t as successful as we had hoped it would be. Therefore, the decision was made to discontinue support for the game.”

“We would like to thank you for playing Trojan War, but regret to inform you that we will not be continuing to support the game.” the statement continues. “As a result, Trojan War will be concluding on November 19th, 2012. Sadly, after vanquishing many enemies throughout the land, the fight has come to an end.”

As we reviewed Trojan War last month, we found this game is extremely boring and predicted the game would be shutdown sooner or later. Our prediction also indicates that the newly launched browser game Battle Shard is also a failure, so we won’t encourage players to continue playing this game or paying for the in-game items. That saves you a great deal of time and energy, or you will be faced with the same situation happened in Trojan War.

Since Kabam also announced an upcoming browser game “The Hobbit: Armies of the Third Age” and an iOS game The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth, both of which are based on the Movie “The Hobbit”. However, both of the two games are all coded based on mechanics that Kabam considered “successful”. In fact, they are all the same game except for the gaming background story.

The review of the iOS strategy game “The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth” is already in progress. Stay tuned!
