Ruined Online Shutdown Quietly

A Chinese saying goes:”Internal troubles are not a thing to be talked about in public”. Indeed! The game shutdown is not a decent thing that let more people know.
Bigpoint, the maker of BattleStar Galactica Online, quietly brought down Ruined Online, the 3D browser game powered by Unity3D. Earlier this year, Bigpoint ballyhooed the games’ virtues while taking it offline.
Actually, Bigpoint had long given up the idea of developing a 3D browser-based shooter while it has been fully aware of the fact that its strong point lies in 2D browser MMO.
According to a person familiar with this project, Bigpoit will swich its focus from traditional browser games to social games. As it has already rolled out three social games: Ponyrama, Toonracer and Uridium Wars.
The guy also pointed out Unity3D could not make a MMOFPS that dynamic and flexible, ultimately it could lead to a clumsy performance and unpleasant experience.
To facilitate the development of upcoming The Mummy Online, and the popular title Battlestar Galactica Online, Bigpint has decided to take down Ruined Online. This move is aimed to minimize the effect that “Ruined” the company’s brand.
