Spirit Tales Preview

Well, when I first knew Spirit Tales from the Internet, I did not expect anything of interest or novelty this game could convey to me. Some adventure-addicted gamers even commented “that animal thing (the main character) has an enormous head” when they first saw its posters on the Internet, as its image originated from eastern animation, rather than the western cartoon with relatively square images. Well, precisely, as an eastern cartoon zealot, I decided to kill my time on this game just for its interesting storyline and adorable characters. I will just offer my experience for your reference here instead of jumping to any conclusion.

The handy settings bring me much convenience at first. With the hot key “L” accessible to me all the time, I can be well aware of all my steps in the progression. Alternatively, you can choose the task closely associated with your present level if you cannot overcome the impregnable opponent for the time being.

Little content on violence can be found in Spirit Tales. It is a comparatively peaceful game suitable for those who are not wild about sheer violence. Well, it’s just similar to walking in the verdant wood when I play it. Its fair-sounding music and gorgeous special effects make me feel comfortable and delighted, which can perfectly free me from the daily working pressure.

Needless to say, the visual design of Spirit Tales is really a success. As a fresher, I have various outfits and weapons available for selection. Different colors of eyes and styles of hair can be mix-matched, and the design of multifarious expressions of the character is another gift of Spirit Tales.

The fresh ambiance in this game cannot be ignored, either. No gloomy sky, no grave atmosphere, and the infrastructures are self-contained. What all elements of this game deliver to me is just its light-hearted theme with the bright-colored flowers, the green and luxuriant meadow, as well as the lifelike creatures.

The game flows smoothly, with considerate hints guiding me to complete remaining quests. I just need to click “Auto Route” button to automatically track my objectives, in the meanwhile my character can be refreshed for following battles. Normally, upon finishing a battle in which no matter how much physical energy I lose, I can be rehabilitated within one minute with the help of the medic. I still remember that I was once severely attacked by the Spy at level 8. But fortunately, the Revival mode without limited time span contributes a lot in helping me smoothly strike forward.
