We’ve had games inspired by fairytales, legends, books, and movies. But one might still be amazed at the incoming game titled as The Wizard of Oz, which obviously is inspired by the classic 1938 movie bearing the same name.

Overview:

The Wizard of Oz is an upcoming city-building title from Chicago-based Spooky Cool Labs. The game offers players a chance to play as Dorothy or her partner, who adventures in the world of Oz on a mission to find Oz.

That is not the ultimate goal. Dorothy still has to return to her home in Kansas. But the home cannot be reached for a while, because there are tons of chores one can do during the journey. Actually, you will build a Munchkin land of your own, tend your citizens and even dress them up in exotic clothes.

The Wizard of Oz combines the classic 1930s movie with the presently ubiquitous 3D technology and manages to offer a uniquely reminiscent 3D gaming experience beyond our expectation.

Although the game targets at women aged between 35 and 55, the colorful graphics, relaxing gameplay and endless quests will sure entertain both children and adults alike.

I've been beta testing for over a month now and I have to say it's the best Facebook game I have played in years. Kudos Spooky Cool, you have a real winner here!
