- Release Date: 2012
- Publisher: ZQGame
- Developer: ZQGame, SEE
- Genre: MMO
Total Recall is a Browser-based MMO co-produced by SEE and China-based ZQGame, the very developers of Planet Michael and Shadowland Online respectively.
Unlike ZQGame’s first browser MMO Shadowland Online, Total Recall will render a 3D virtual modern world where players can engage in fierce PVP and explore outside environment. And there is no need to download the client.
According to mingled resources, the game will perhaps be put on some social platform as well. But the officials did not comment if it will be available on Facebook.
One thing is for sure though that it will be free to play with micro-transaction business model.Players could buy ingame value-added items like equipment, potion, energy and customizable objects.
The release date is not yet confirmed so far. But since the namesake movie is due in August 2012,the online game version may come along with the movie debut.
Here is our analysis:
If ZQGame begins developing Total Recall from now, it still has enough time to finish the project before August 2012. As we know, 6 months suffices to get a fairly good browser game done. Theoretically, the game could be much better if given more time to develop.
Over years, we have seen so many classic movies or TV series adapted into browser games such as Battlestar Galactica, Family Guy, Star Trek, etc. But all of them came as a surprise at first, and then the halo faded away as none of them did come up to expectation.
What will the Total Recall MMO turn out? Though knowing not much,I don’t expect a Chinese developer could make a game worth playing.
