World of Midgard a multi-platform (Android and iOS) MMORPG set in the mythic Viking Age. The game pits players into the shoes of legendary Viking heroes, who vary, to a large extent based on their magic and special combat abilities.
When players enter World of Midgard for the first time, they must choose between the opposing factions of the Fury and Alliance. Each faction features three different races: Fury faction contains berserker orc, blood-dark and dark-elf, while human, dwarf and elf are available for Alliance. Then players need to choose their avatars between 8 classes, and there are no faction specific classes.
World of Midgard features a huge synchronous game world, which is divided into several relatively big zones connected with dungeons and portals. As players progress though the game, they can uncover advanced items, various unique-looking mounts and instanced dungeons.
The artwork style is surprisingly similar to that of World of Warcraft, but the UI was tailored to suit handsets. It makes full use of the limited display area of the handsets, so players will no longer be stuck with bloated interfaces. There is an on-screen analog-stick allowing characters to move, and another touchpad zone is used for panning and rotating camera views, which are the only items you can find in the game screen.
With gorgeous graphics and bunches of engaging features, World of Midgard is a powerful evidence showing that a handset game can also be as deep as its PC-based counterpart.
